How to Make the Best Crispy Fried Eggplant

Eggplant is one of those yummy vegetables that everyone probably loves, but did you know you can make it crispy as if it’s fried chicken?! I’ll show you how to make the best crispy fried eggplant:

Serving Size: 2 persons



Eggplant – 4 long pieces sliced in circular blocks (1 finger width)

Crispy fry powder mix or any breading mix – one bowl

Beaten Eggs – 2 eggs

Oil or Margarine – 1 cup of oil or half a block of margarine

Masala or cumin powder (optional) – 3 tablespoons



1. Slice the eggplants into circular blocks.

2. Put crispy fry powder mix into a bowl, leave it aside.

3. Put the beaten eggs into a separate bowl.

4. Soak the eggplants in the bowl of eggs.

5. Transfer the egg-soaked eggplants to the bowl of crispy fry mix. Coat the eggplant in crispy fry powder mix.

6. Do procedures 4 and 5 again. This is to ensure that the coating of the eggplant is thick and even.

7. Heat up the oil. Then fry the eggplants until they are golden brown.

8. Transfer into a plate and sprinkle with Masala or cumin powder.
